Concerts for the Way Life Should Be: Sifter + Rebecca Pronsky

  • Jennifer Parker's House (Blue House & Barn) 224 Witchtrot Road South Berwick, ME, 03908 United States (map)

Sifter is a new project from Monica Crigler, John Mettam, and Laura Cromwell. Songs about heartbreak, but not always the kind of heartbreak you think. In turns sparse and groovy, mournful and full of love, this is music to savor under a starry country evening sky.

Rebecca Pronsky - Confidently straddling the boundaries of country roots, jazz, rockabilly, and folk in order to create her own distinctive sound. Rebecca Pronsky is a triple threat. She’s got a “voice that conveys the wisdom of experience” (NPR), songwriting talent that showcases “brutal, cutting lyricism (Ithaca Times), and a masterful collaborator: guitarist and producer Rich Bennett, who “puts the trimmings on the music with a battery of echo drenched, twangy leads” (Blurt). This concert will be raising funds for Planned Parenthood and the Joan G. Lovering Health Center. Concerts for the Way Life Should be is a monthly benefit concert series in South Berwick, Maine.
