Featuring an all-female ensemble, Wouldn’t It Be Nice is both a celebration of female musicians and of The Beach Boys’ masterful songwriting and arranging. Drawing from influences such as the Boswell sisters, Meredith Monk, ESG, and the Riot grrrl movement of the nineties, Wouldn’t It Be Nice deconstructs the magnum opus of The Beach Boys to craft a fresh narrative that reclaims space in the male-dominated popular music canon.

ONCE Somerville lounge hosts an entrancing night inspired by cult TV series, with duelling soundtracks interspersed with ad jingles and promo spots, all layered with remixed and projected visuals, and on-theme snacks and cocktails! Costumes encouraged.
